I have to tell you how excited I am to go see him with my family. As many of you know, my middle child has autism spectrum disorder. Last year, a local Santa (pictured above) helped make a dream a reality for many families of children with all sorts of disabilities. Santa was once upon a time a social worker and has experience with special needs kids. So he had a sensory Santa day where kids could take their time and get used to him and spend some real time without a rush. And he gave away a photo CD to every child. So many families had never, ever had a Santa photo with their kids because at the malls the lines, the crowds, the rush gets to our kids. 

Last year, we couldn't go. And we weren't sure the event would happen again this year.

When I discovered the event had opened for registrations, I was one of the first people signed up. This year, my family will get to meet Santa and have photos with him. I can't wait.
