Nathan's teacher does a Grandparents program each year. This year, it turns out my mom was here (dad was hunting) so Nathan got to take a real grandparent with him.
Here's one of the songs they sang. It's "Five Fat Turkeys" and goes something like:
Five fat turkeys are we,
We spent the night in a tree,
When the cooks came around
We couldn't be found,
And that's why we're here you see.
They sang some additional songs and they made a 'treat' with the grandparents. Fudge Stripe cookies with frosting for the glue. Add candy corn feathers, a mini-Reese's cup for the body and a mini M&M gobbler for a turkey treat.
Grandma had a great time---so did Nathan.
